Bodie Kellogg's distinctive and frequently vivid artwork captures
with a fresh
perspective the character and the soul of Mazatlan and surrounds.
His work is
presented mostly on giclee (gallery) canvas but also on other media.
It varies
from such subjects as particularly interesting people, to varied
places or events
which provide profound momentary insights into the essence of Mexico
and its
people. His innovative methods of enhancement of the original photograph
elevates and intensifies the subjects into more dramatic and exciting
pieces of
art, much lauded.
Resume
Bodie Kellogg has been living in the barrios of Centro Historico
in Mazatlan, for
half a dozen years since moving here in semi-retirement from his
building and
construction environment. Throughout his adult life, Bodie has been
interested
in and has extensively indulged in photography. Now with more time
available
he has honed his skills and learned many techniques of photographic
enhancement and augmentation, allowing him to produce particularly
interesting
and innovative pieces. The level of interest in Bodie's work has
been sufficient
to bring him to a point of making it commercially available, allowing
him to fulfill a
long-term dream.
